Text Box: Y. S. Arts & K.S. Shah Commerce College, situated in the very lap of nature at the foot of the Devgadh hills at Devgadh Baria. The colloege  was founded in 1964 with a view to bring higher education to the rural and socially as well as economically backward people and to bring empowerment through education. The college is a grant-in-aid institution of the govt. of Gujarat and managed by Baria Higher Education Society is affiliated to Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. It is recognised by UGC under 2(f) and 12(b).  The college has recently been accredited by N.A.A.C. With ”B” grade and was awarded to be the best college of Gujarat University in 1984-85. The college holds prominent place in the field of sports and has won general championships several times. The college takes pride to state that it produced sports person of international and national repute.

Text Box: The college has 06 UG departments and 05 PG Departments. The college offers B.A., M.A. and B.com. besides various open university courses and other add-on courses. The college owns three buildings, one of them The Old Rajmahal donated by Late Maharaja H. H. of Devgadh Baria, one by generous donation of Sh. K. S. Shah and one with help of T. S. P., Dahod. The U.G.C. grants have been utilized to build extension building and to create wealth of books in a library like a treasure. The college takes pride that it offers computer methods as second subsidiary subject, which offered by a few in Gujarat. The college has well equipped auditorium to held programs with capacity of thousand.
